Invitation to participate in graduate research on the impact of emotional intelligence on organizational resilience; participants to receive report

28 August 2015 – Lille, France – A PhD student at SKEMA Business School in Lille, France is conducting research on the impact of leaders’ emotional intelligence on organizational resilience. She has launched a survey and is seeking participants around the world to provide input. A questionnaire assesses an individual’s emotional intelligence and resilience and can help estimate the resilience of organizations.

Emotional Intelligence (EI) is a set of brain abilities and skills to recognize, analyze and understand our and other’s emotions as a source of information to achieve better thinking and decision-making (Salovey & Mayer, 1990).

Resilience is a dynamic process that includes positive adaptation and bouncing back from adversity stronger than before.

Organizational Resilience is the ability of an organization to survive a crisis and thrive in a world of uncertainty.

After clicking on the link, you will be directed to a questionnaire that takes about 15 minutes to complete. For each item, choose the answer that best describes you. There are no right or wrong answers. It is important to complete the full survey otherwise it cannot be used as part of the overall research.

Participation is voluntary and one can stop at any time, even though it is hoped you will complete the survey. You will participate as anonymous person unless you wish to receive a free report or/and to participate in the lottery.  If this is the case, please kindly write your email address at the end of the questionnaire. All personal and organizational information will be deleted before data analysis. The organization name is asked only to reconcile the responses from the same organization and will not be used for any analysis.

As a thank you, participants will be provided with a report with participant’s score and invited to participate in a lottery to win books on leadership and organizational resilience. Please note that the survey works the best on computers and laptops.
