PMI Zimbabwe Chapter officially launched

2 March 2018 – Harare, Zimbabwe – The Project Management Institute (PMI) Zimbabwe Chapter was officially launched in Harare on 23 February 2018 at a colourful evening reception hosted at the Meikles Hotel and attended by close to 100 local project management practitioners. Ex PMI Nigeria Chapter President and current PMI mentor of PMI Africa Chapters Mr Ike Nwanko was the guest of honor at the launch.

The PMI Zimbabwe Chapter was first chartered as a potential PMI Chapter in April 2017 and elections to appoint a seven member Board  were held in October 2017. Miss Mary Phiri is the President of the new Zimbabwe Chapter. With this launch Africa now has a total of 23 PMI Chapters across the continent and more Chapters are set to be inaugurated by the end of the year raising hope for Africa countries to elevate their project management standards.
