New Non Profit Project Management Organization announced in Italy


13 September 2013 – Rome, Italy – PMO4NoProfit is an association newly formed in Rome, Italy, on an entirely voluntary basis, to support Project Management initiatives in the social environment through the dissemination of basic Project Management principles in specific training sessions.

The co-founder and initial president is Mr. Massimo Pica (pictured), recently retired Brigadier General, Corps of Professional Engineers, Italian Army.  A Chemical Engineering graduate of Sapienza University in Rome with decades of experience in program and project management, he is a member of the International Cost Estimating and Analysis Association (ICEAA) and of the European Council of Construction Economics (CEEC).

The Association is firmly convinced that the adoption of a Project Management approach, as appropriate for the social context, can help third sector organizations to improve their initiatives in terms of effectiveness and efficiency.  Organizations will therefore be able to use their experiences and skills at best, to adequately respond to their social vocation in their operational community.
