MISB Bocconi graduate student completes PMWL Research Internship



Rajamahender Rapelly in Mumbai completes project management research internship program in just two months

20 March 2018 – Dallas, TX, USA and Mumbai, India – PM World has announced that Rajamahender Rapelly, a graduate student at the Mumbai International School of Business (MISB) Bocconi, has completed the PM World Library’s project management research internship. Rajamahender completed the 16-week program in just 10 weeks.

Rajamahender is currently pursuing his post graduate degree in Business at MISB Bocconi, Mumbai, India. Rajamahender holds a Bachelor’s of Technology degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering and has 2.6 years of work experience in the field of Railway Signalling. During his professional experience, Rajamahender has coordinated with different clients assisting in the design, installation, integration and maintenance of Indian Railway projects.

His major fields of study are Operations and Business Administration. His research interests include project management, projects execution and control, PM in global and multinational contexts, PM in the railway industry, supply chain and International logistics, and operations management.

According to PM World Library Director David Pells, “Rajamahender was an outstanding intern for us.  Based on his prior work experience, he focused his research on project management in rail transport industries. This was another new topic for the PMWL; if you visit that section of the library you will find many new resources that he found.”

According to Rajamahender, “Thank you very much for providing this wonderful opportunity. This internship was very interesting and very useful. It helped me to learn about various projects and project management practices in the Railway Industry and in other industries as well. During my research I was able to clearly relate my past experience with the topics I was researching and it helped me to understand more clearly how things will be in real time projects. This experience will surely help me in my professional career.”

Pells added, “Rajamahender would frequently deliver multiple research results at a time, and ended up contributing more than the internship commitment required.  He was motivated and active, and we really appreciated his unique contributions.”
