Lesley Rider and Elmar Roberg named PMSA Fellows

15 October 2014 – Johannesburg, South Africa – Project Management South Africa (PMSA) has announced the recognition of two South African project management leaders as PMSA Fellows. The announcements and awards were made at their recently completed PMSA National Conference. The new PMSA Fellows are Lesley Rider and Elmar Roberg.

As is the tradition at the PMSA National Conference, the evening of the second night is an opportunity to enjoy a meal and entertainment with fellow delegates. It is also the event at which the ‘internal’ awards are made, recognising those within the PMSA family for various reasons.

In this spirit, on 30 September 2014, PMSA honoured two long-serving volunteers as PMSA Fellows. Lesley Rider and Elmar Roberg have made significant contributions to PMSA and the project management community at large.

They have both been PMSA presidents and directors, with Lesley having been instrumental in the early development of PMSA as you know it today. Both have contributed to the development of PM standards and continue to serve the PM environment in various ways.

PMSA Fellowships are awarded by Board nomination to individuals who – among other criteria – have contributed for more than a decade to PMSA’s development and that of the PM landscape in South Africa.
