Law school student completes PMWL internship in record time

Stefano Castagna completes 16 week project management research internship in under 12 weeks

14 October 2017 – Dallas, USA and Milan, Italy – PM World has announced that Stefano Castagna, a law school graduate of Bocconi University in Italy, has completed the PM World Library’s project management research internship program in less than 12 weeks. Stefano is currently pursuing his LLM in International Business Regulation, Litigation and Arbitration at New York University (NYU) School of Law in New York, USA.

Stefano holds a Law Degree from Bocconi University. During his studies and work abroad, he has worked in the field of transfer pricing and international transactions, and has written in international arbitration and tax. His studies during his MSc degree led him to gain an interest in project management and valuation connected to law-related issues, such as optimisation of time and resources in litigation and arbitration proceedings, and project management of international law and treaty making.

According to PM World Library Director David Pells, “Our library intern program is designed to require 16 weekly submissions of research results. Stefano completed the program in four sprints, delivering four research results together every two or three weeks. He mastered the template and process quickly, focused on project management for attorneys and law firms, and delivered great new resources for the library.”

According to Stefano, “I started the internship program in Milano, but have been in New York for the last eight weeks.  I really liked researching project management related to the legal field, found some interesting resources online, and delivered them as quickly as possible. Some legal cases are big projects and need more formal project management. I now feel better prepared to discuss this topic with other attorneys and potential employers.”

Pells added, “Stefano helped us create an entirely new section in the PMWL devoted to project management in the legal profession, an industry that has recently been embracing professional PM.  I hope our readers will visit the library and find PM in Law in the Industries and Organizations section. Or you can visit Stefano’s intern page in the library to see all his work for us.”
