Call for Papers for Project Organising Track for EURAM 2015



June 2015 conference offers serious project management researchers opportunity to showcase work and network with colleagues

16 November 2014 – Brussels, Belgium and Warsaw, Poland – A call for papers has been issued for the European Academy of Management Conference EURAM 2015 in Warsaw, 17-20 June 2015. The conference will include a “Project Organising” track, to feature papers and presentations by researchers from the project management field. Researchers worldwide are invited to submit abstracts now.

141116-pmwj29-euram2015-LOGOThe Project Organising track will provide an international platform to share and debate topical issues in project-based/oriented organising.  This includes the management of single projects and programs as temporary organisations, the management of project portfolios, the management of project-oriented organisations, which deliver projects to external or internal customers and project networks, or multi-enterprise meta-organisations, created in order to manage projects.

Among the central concerns in this research field are:

  • How can project organizing succeed with the increasing scale and complexity of projects?
  • How can project organizing alter business and management in a broader institutional context?
  • How should different types of organizations design, deliver and organize their projects and
  • How do individuals as members of the project based organizations succeed in their temporary project roles?

Conceptual as well as empirical papers based on quantitative or qualitative research are invited. In addition to the presentation of full academic papers, interactive workshops will be offered to encourage scholars to enter the conversation about project organising. The workshops will cover topics such as:

In addition to the general track, the Project Organising SIG will host a track on Organizational Project Management.
