Call for Papers for 3RD International Conference on Project Management in the Baltic States open until 17 November


31 October 2013 – Riga, Latvia – The Third International Conference on Project Management in the Baltic States will be held in Riga, Latvia during 10-11 April 2014.  Under the theme “Project Management Development – Practice and Perspectives”, the conference will be held at the University of Latvia.  The Call for Papers is open, with abstracts accepted through 17 November 2013.  More information at http://www.balticpmconference.eu/.


The aim of the conference is to discuss results of scientific research in project management issues, to establish new contacts and networking between professionals involved in project management as well as enhance the capacity of project managers. Conference language is English.

Project management researchers, educators and experts are invited to submit an abstract for paper and presentation on one or more of the following topics:

  1. Project management in public administration
  2. Problems and solutions in EU funds project management (implementation)
  3. Public-Private-Partnership project management
  4. Investment project management
  5. Culture project management
  6. IT project management
  7. Construction project management
  8. Renewable Energy Projects
  9. Social project management
  10. Standards on project management
  11. Professional education and science in project management
  12. Capacity of organization in project management
  13. Project Accounting and Auditing
  14. New directions and findings in project management theory
  15. Project controlling
  16. Project Risk Management.

Sections will be designed according to themes of accepted abstracts.

The conference will be include opening plenary session, parallel sessions and concluding plenary session. Scientific papers presented at the conference will be published in the conference proceedings and on the conference website. All abstracts before the conference will be double blind reviewed and materials included in the conference proceedings are double blind reviewed.  Key dates:

November 17, 2013 – Applications for participation and submission of abstract (see requirements at http://www.balticpmconference.eu/abstract-requirements.)

November 30, 2013 – Notification of acceptance and invitation to prepare report

Until January 31, 2014 – Payment of reduced conference fee

February 15, 2014 – Submission of paper for conference proceedings

February 28, 2014 – Information on paper acceptance, feedback from reviewers

March 17, 2014 – Deadline for revised papers.
