Call for Papers for 2014 AACE International Annual Conference in New Orleans, USA

16 July 2013 – Morgantown, West Virginia, USA – The Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International (AACEi) has issued a call for papers for their 2014 annual meeting and conference, to be held in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA during June 15-18, 2014.

aaceThe deadline for submitting an abstract is August 31, 2013.  For accepted abstracts, full papers will be due by January 31, 2014. To present a paper, an abstract of the proposed paper must be submitted using a standard form, which can be found at http://www.aacei.org/am/guidelines/call4papers.shtml.

An abstract of 100-175 words must be submitted on the standard form provided on their website.  Papers may not contain actual intellectual property data and must focus on developing and describing concepts for practicing total cost management professionals. In general, this is not an appropriate forum for academic papers that are highly theoretical. Papers centered on commercial products or endorsements will not be accepted.

The abstract must be articulate, concise and well written.  Acceptance of an abstract is not a guarantee that a paper will be accepted; the technical evaluation/peer review of each paper will determine whether or not it will be accepted for the technical program of the meeting. If a paper is accepted, the author will be required to register for the meeting within two weeks.  For other important requirements and frequently asked questions visit: www.aacei.org/am/guidelines.
