PMI® Honors Cecilia Boggi, PMP with 2012 Chapter Award for Leadership Excellence

30 October 2012 – The Project Management Institute (PMI®) has announced that it has honored Cecilia Boggi, PMP, with a 2012 PMI Chapter Award for Leadership Recognition of Excellence. The award was presented during PMI’s annual Awards Ceremony on Saturday, 20 October 2012 at the Vancouver Convention Center.

The PMI Chapter Award for Leadership pays tribute to the vision and dedication a community leader must have to effectively guide and advance their community and to further PMI’s envisioned goal to help organizations, worldwide, embrace project management and attribute their success to it.  Ms. Boggi was specifically recognized for his limitless energy and inspirational leadership as president of the PMI Buenos Aires Chapter in 2011.

Under Ms. Boggi’s leadership, the chapter achieved the following:

  • 32% membership growth
  • 80% membership retention rate
  • Five (5) regional communities across Argentina
  • Two (2) new projects with PMI Educational Foundation      

According to Ms. Boggi, “I am honored on receiving this recognition; I feel very proud of belonging and representing the PMI Buenos Aires Chapter. Our Chapter counts with the cooperation of 75 enthusiastic volunteers for Project Management. Thanks to their work all these recognitions are possible”
