APM Introductory Project Management Certificate Exam now Available online


8 October 2013 – London, UK – The Association for Project Management (APM), the UK’s national project management professional body, has announced that the Exam for APM’s Introductory Certificate in Project Management is now available online.  According to their announcement, the introductory certificate program has undergone some exciting changes in 2013, making it more accessible and providing quicker results for candidates than ever before.

131008-pmwj16-introductory-IMAGEThe APM Introductory Certificate examination can now be taken from the comfort of one’s home, office or anywhere of the candidate’s choosing.

Liz Wilson, head of professional standards and knowledge at APM explains; “We wanted to improve the candidate experience when taking our entry-level qualification, making it more accessible, convenient and in line with e-learning opportunities. It is a great example of our flexible approach to delivering world-class, professional qualifications.”

The online examination option has been available through the examination centres operated by APM’s Accredited Providers since July. Candidates are now able to take the examination from anywhere they choose, at a time suited to them, using the live online proctoring option. Taking the examination online also allows candidates to receive an immediate indication of their result as soon as they finish.

“We’re delighted to be able to offer such flexibility and access to our entry-level qualification for everyone in project management,” said Liz.

Since 1 July, examinations have been available to complete online in examination centres. Some key highlights of that program have included:

  • Only available from APM’s Accredited Providers
  • Application and schedule managed via online portal provided by training provider
  • Available globally
  • Immediate result indication at end of exam
  • Verified result and electronic certificate issued by APM within three working days
