Aizhan Aliakbarova completes project management research internship



Graduate student at Kazakh-British Technical University in Almaty completes 16-week PMWL project management research internship

20 October 2017 – Dallas, USA and Almaty, Kazakhstan – PM World has announced that Aizhan Aliakbarova, a graduate student at Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU) in Kazakhstan, has completed the PM World Library’s project management research internship program.

Aizhan Aliakbarova is currently pursuing her Master of Science degree in Project Management and Supply Chain at KBTU in Almaty. Aizhan holds a Bachelor’s in Philology and an advanced program in Finance.

During her professional experience, Aizhan has cooperated with international organisations and foreign TNC’s in different sectors of economy and engaged in investment attraction and innovation development directions. Her major fields of study include project management and supply chain.  Her research interests include project management maturity, portfolio management, strategy, project finance, supply chain, International logistics, project execution and project control.

According to PM World Library Director David Pells, “Aizhan was very efficient and professional, providing useful research results on a regular basis. She found useful resources for both new and experienced project managers ranging across multiple industries and topics. She helped populate a number of sections of the library so you will see her name on 16 useful resources on multiple webpages.”

According to Aizhan, “The internship for the PM World Library was pretty interesting and not too time consuming. I learned a lot and I’m very glad that I did it. I was also happy to deliver the 16th research result. Now I’m looking forward to completing my thesis, receiving my next degree and working with more knowledge about project management.”

Pells added, “Aizhan was referred to us by her professor at KBTU who indicated that she was a good student with high expectations.  She proved his assessment correct, as she produced a lot of good content for us in a short amount of time.  We are very grateful.”
