AIPM offers dual Project Manager Certifications

Australian association offers both national and international certifications

15 March 2016 – Sydney, Australia – The Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) has announced another leap towards professional recognition for project managers with the announcement of our new certification offerings.

AIPM will continue to have one project management certification framework, which will now include both the national RegPM certification system and the International Project Management Association (IPMA) certification system. Certification is your official recognition as a project management professional. It provides the same recognition within industry afforded to other disciplines such as accounting, engineering and law.

AIPM members have a rare opportunity to achieve dual certification in the national and international systems. AIPM is one of only two project management associations in the world where this is possible.

AIPM Certification

AIPM certification involves an individually designed competency-based workplace assessment program. AIPM recognises the critical interplay between behavioural, contextual and technical competences. These competence elements provide a best-practice framework for organisations to build a sustainable project management capability and position the project manager as a facilitator of organisational outcomes.

Can you afford not to be a certified project manager? Can your organisation afford not to use certified project managers to successfully deliver organisation outcomes?

Introduction of International Certification

AIPM now offers both national and international certification programs. International certification offers members the opportunity to gain a certification which is recognised globally. The international certification has 4 levels covering the range of roles within project/program management. Information on the International certification can be found on the International Certification page on the AIPM website.

New Certified Practising Senior Project Manager Level

We have added another level to our national program, the Certified Practising Senior Project Manager (CPSPM) to reflect the change in roles in project management. For more information about the CPSPM certification visit the AIPM Certification page on the AIPM website.

RegPM and CPD Administration Changes

From April 1, 2016 there will be changes made to the administration of the RegPM certification. From this date, candidates will be paying a standard assessment fee directly to AIPM.

There will also be changes made to the audit and approval process for CPD activities effective from the same date. Certified members will still log their CPD activity through the website, but these claims will now be automatically approved. Random audits will be conducted across certified members, who will still need to have 70 CPD in the system to recertify.

AIPM certification is available to Associate and Full members of the AIPM, so become an AIPM member and begin your certification journey; visit their website today.
