Professor Ruta Ciutiene in Lithuania named International Academic Advisor for PM World

Kaunas University of Technology professor joins PM World Journal and Library academic advisory team

21 May 2015 – Dallas, London, Sydney, Vilnius – PM World has announced that Prof Ruta Ciutiene has joined the organization’s academic advisory board for the PM World Journal and PM World Library. Prof Ciutiene is head of the project management Master’s degree program at Kaunas University of Technology in Kaunas, Lithuania. She joins an international team of academic leaders who provide advice and feedback to the PM World editorial team.

Since 2001 she has worked in various positions at Kaunas University of Technology, where from 2012 she is a professor in the Department of Management and Manager of the Project Management Master Degree study program. From 2014 she also is a Product Development Director in the Executive School of Economics and Business School. She teaches several courses in project management not only for economics and business, but for engineering students also.

Human resources management in projects and engineering project issues are her main scientific fields of interest. She has practical experience in working with business and public sector development projects. She also trains and consults businesses and the public sector in project management processes. At the same time she coordinates, manages and participates in local and international studies and business development projects as well as scientific. Further, she works as an external evaluator on international projects.

Not only will Prof Ciutiene provide academic perspective but she will also act as an occasional International Correspondent for Lithuania, reporting on important developments affecting the project management profession there.

Kaunas University of Technology

Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) is one of the largest technical universities in the Baltic States and one of the most prominent higher education schools in the country, leading in many research areas and study fields. The School of Economics and Business is the largest School in Kaunas University of Technology. There are 6 academic departments, Executive School, 3 research centres and institutes. The double diploma studies at the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund makes it possible to acquire specific knowledge and skills in IT Project Management (you can choose also business projects). The programs team includes not only the university professors, but also project managers, business representatives and foreign university lecturers with more than 10 years of successful practical experience.

Located just an hour from Vilnius, Kaunas is located at the confluence of the two largest Lithuanian rivers, the Nemunas and the Neris.
