Well known academic leader from Jönköping International Business School joins PM World’s Global Advisory Team
20 December 2012 – Dallas, London, Sydney – PM World has announced that Rolf Lundin, PhD, former dean and professor at Jönköping International Business School in Sweden, has joined the Editorial Advisory Board for the PM World Journal (PMWJ). The PMWJ is a monthly eJournal devoted to the creation of new knowledge and continuous learning related to program and project management (P/PM).
Rolf A Lundin is a professor of business administration at the Jönköping International Business School (JIBS). He got his PhD in 1973 at the University of Chicago (now the Booth Business School) in Management Science. He has been a full professor since 1978, first at the business school of the University of Umeå (in northern Sweden), where he was also the founding dean of that school. In 2001 he was recruited to dean JIBS. He stepped down as dean in 2007. Since that time he has been affiliated with the Media Management and Transformation Center where he now serves as interim director.
Prof Lundin has several publications in the management of projects and temporary organization area and is currently serving on the board for the PMI Global Accreditation Center which is working with accreditation of project management educational programs around the world. His current research focus is on the use of projects in media industries.
Jönköping International Business School, JIBS, is recognized as the most international business school in Sweden and one of the most international in the world. Around 30% of the employees and students come from outside of Sweden. JIBS is one of four specialized schools that are part of Jönköping University. The school was founded in 1994 and provides education and research in the fields of Business Administration, Commercial Law, Economics, Informatics and Statistics.
The school was the first in Scandinavia to offer programmes in English at all three levels: Bachelor, Master and Doctoral, and has more than 200 partner universities around the world. Approximately 85% of the students spend at least one semester abroad. Over the years, JIBS has attracted many highly qualified professors, lecturers and researchers, making the school very competitive among business schools in both the Nordic countries and internationally.
