19 December 2012 – The Global Alliance for Project Performance Standards (GAPPS) has announced that the next global working session, no. 27, will be hosted at NASA in the United States during 13-15 February 2013. The session will be held at the Radisson Hotel Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA. Participants must submit a completed Registration Form by 9 January 2013.
Attendance fees are as follows:
- New Members: AUD$3000 Membership Fee plus AUD$1000 Working session fee
- Existing Members: AUD$1000 per person
- Individuals: AUD$1950 per person
Attendance fees cover daytime catering at the working session from 9am to 5pm and dinners for each evening of the three-day event.
Individuals who wish to attend but are not associated with a member organisation may do so at the individual rate. However, if you are a member of a project management association you may wish to contact them to express your interest in attending under their membership. If they agree to this you would only be required to pay the AUD$1000 per person rate. All fees are exclusive of GST.
Visitors needing a letter of invitation for visa applications should contact the GAPPS executive office as soon as possible at , providing their full name as shown in their passport and full address.
The membership fee and working session attendance fees are intended to cover administrative background work, development and maintenance for the GAPPS. Membership fees are welcomed in support of the project even where an organisation is not able to send representatives to the meeting. Membership will ensure that your organisation is kept involved and fully informed of progress and any outcomes of the Working Session. Your organisation will be acknowledged as a member of the initiative.
Attendees are encouraged to attend all arranged dinners and to make departure travel plans for the day after the conclusion of the Working Session. NASA has arranged to host the working session at the Radisson Cape Canaveral. The recommended accommodation is also at the Radisson with a very special rate of US$99+tax/night including Breakfast. NASA has arranged excursions to the Kennedy Space centre and other NASA attractions. NASA requires additional information for security clearance for these excursions which you will need to fill out in your registration form. This information needs to be provided to NASA 35 days prior to the workshop; 9th January 2013. If your travelling companions are joining the NASA excursions, they will also need to fill out a registration form for NASA security.

The GAPPS is a unique alliance of government, private industry, professional associations and training/academic institutes working together to develop globally applicable project management competency based standards, frameworks and mappings.
