31 January 2015 – Kraków, Poland and Zurich, Switzerland – The International Project Management Association (IPMA) has announced that for 2015 IPMA will not host a general training for the International PE Award, but mainly rely on assessors previously trained. The focus will be on supporting regional awards (1st edition of IPMA Nordic Project Excellence Award), and in addition complement their international assessors pool in specific target areas for strategic capacity building such as e.g. Italy, China, France, UK, India, Latin America, Nordic countries.

150131-pmwj31-denmark-IMAGEFor 2015 IPMA has established three main principles:

  1. Customer focus
  2. Cross-selling of IPMA services
  3. Global reach

The Nordic Project Excellence Award, as well as other regional awards, is meeting these principles by building on the successful global awards program run for thirteen years. The aim of the Award is to create role models for project excellence, thus increasing the recognition of projects from different countries, industries and organizations. It also motivates business and project teams to develop and improve project management.

To complement the international assessors pool in specific target areas, the IPMA Awards Management Board is organizing a training for IPMA Project Excellence Award Assessors. Details of the training are given below:
