PM EDUCATION NEWS

20 October 2014 – Fort Wayne, London, Brisbane, Mendoza, Beijing –GPM Global has announced that it has been accepted as one of only thirteen United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education Supporting Organizations.

The UN PRME initiative serves as a framework for gradual, systemic change in business schools and management-related institutions, based on three distinctive characteristics of the initiative: continuing improvement, a learning network, and reporting progress to stakeholders.

Reporting on progress by participant institutions to stakeholders through Sharing Information on Progress (SIP) reports is an essential part of the active commitment to PRME. SIP reporting provides information on progress achieved in the implementation of PRME, an opportunity for exchanging effective practices, and creates a learning community with other participating institutions.

GPM President, Joel Carboni stated “We first engaged PRME in 2013 at the UN Global Compact’s leadership summit and have incorporated their six principles into our curriculum. To be selected as a Supporting organization, one of only 13 worldwide, is a point of pride for us and also validation of the work we are doing to advocate for responsible (sustainable) management practices.”

“Our Partner University Program is unique as we provide turnkey curriculum for a one time nominal fee to cover the cost of training the University staff. Our goal is to provide quality content to support sustainable development goals using project management as a driving platform.”
