FBC Building Society Housing Scheme Voted 2014 Most Outstanding Project in Zimbabwe

7 November 2014 – Harare, Zimbabwe – Project Management Zimbabwe (PMZ) has announced that FBC Holdings have scored yet another accolade after being voted for delivering the Most Outstanding Project for the year 2014. FBC Building Society received the award from PMZ at the Annual International Project Management Day Breakfast reception hosted in Harare on 6 November 2014.

141107-pmwj29-fbc-IMAGEFour Corporate Candidates had been nominated for the Award by the institute; however the Building Society impressed the adjudicators and scooped the award at the prestigious event held at a local hotel. The other nominated candidates for the same award were Shineplus Housing Development Trust, Econet Wireless new call Centre and Afrosoft Holdings. Earlier this year, FBC Holdings were voted the best listed company for 2014.

The PMZ Most Outstanding Project of the Year Award is targeted to stimulate competitive attitude in project management excellence amongst the PMZ Corporate membership. This means that in order to qualify for an award in this category, nominees must be valid PMZ corporate members in general, although exceptional cases may be considered to recognize very visible projects from non-members. The most outstanding project for 2014 award must have clear project plans presented to the adjudicators, a visible Project Management Methodologies applied and evidence of control of the triple constraints above added value addition living standards towards involved stakeholders.

Project Management Zimbabwe (PMZ) is the country’s Largest Association of Project Managers with a membership base of over 1000. Each year the Association carries out a national survey to identify ongoing or completed projects and project managers deserving recognition.

FBC Building Society was recognized for their sterling efforts in delivering of housing schemes in Harare and Kwekwe. In Harare the FBC current housing schemes are Glaudina Project, Masotsha Ndlovu Cluster Home Scheme, Greendale Cluster Home Scheme and Mbizo low cost Housing Scheme in Kwekwe. Earlier this year FBC Holdings won another major corporate award for being the best performing listed company for 2014.
