The PMI Spain Chapters are evaluating the idea to be converted into a unique PMI Spain Chapter

In spite of this year new initiatives to create new PMI Chapters in Spain, the Spanish PMI Chapters  are evaluating to be converted into a unique Chapter. This type of organization (Chapter by Branches) tries to establish a unique PMI National Chapter having a Board of Directors composed of representatives from each Community, delivering membership services at a local level but trying not to duplicate infrastructures in each area. Some of the difficulties implementing this model are the expectations from local Sponsors and Spanish Communities.

Unfortunately the central policy heritage is creating some problems to move forward with this project that started three months ago. We count on the PMI EMEA support to move forward. PMI chapters in France have been converted into a unique PMI France Chapter. It is an example of the feasibility and success of that organizational model.

Currently we count on three PMI Chapters in Spain and two potential Chapters. One representative from each Chapter belongs to the Committee that is evaluating the feasibility of this project. On January 2014, such Committee will decide if that project will be moving forward or not.
