21st PMA Global Project Management Symposium incorporating APFPM Awards concludes successfully in India

7 December 2013 – New Delhi, India – Project Management Associates of India (PMA, India) hosted its highly successful annual event, the ‘21st Global Symposium’ in New Delhi on 2-3 December 2013.  The theme of the symposium was “Linking Project Mindset to Nation’s Prosperity.”  The event this year incorporated the Asia Pacific Federation for Project Management (APFPM) Awards.

The Symposium was attended by some 600 industry professionals from 22 countries, and included not only a range of industry experts to share their rich experience but a great enthusiasm was seen all around. The importance of project management is now realized at the highest levels in the Government of India.

The Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Dr. M Veerappa Moily, inaugurated the Symposium on December 2, 2013.

The Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Sector Enterprises, Mr. Praful Patel, gave the Valedictory address. The Symposium was held under the Chairmanship of Mr. TKA Nair, Adviser to the Prime Minister of India.

The book ‘Totality of Project Management’ authored by Ms. Ruchira Jain, was released by Dr. M Veerappa Moily, Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas. (see photo below)

The event was extensively covered in the media. The 21st Global Symposium was considered an astounding success.
